Torque Workcentre for sale!

A regular of Stu’s Shed has a 3.5m Torque Workcentre for sale that has had very little use.

Given how rarely second hand Torque Workcentres come up for sale, and the lead time on getting a new one, I am pretty sure there will be someone out there keen to snap this one up.  It is being sold for $5000

“I have for sale a Torque WorkCentre. I have had it for a number of years, but have never really used it. It simply doesn’t suit my woodworking, or workflow.
The details and accessories are:

3.5m by 900mm WorkCentre ($5060 current new price (cnp))
Extension beam ($745 cnp)
Circular Saw Attachment ($245 cnp)
Copy Attachment ($190 cnp)
Triton Router Attachment ($160 cnp)
Dust Extraction Guard ($115 cnp)
Drill/Grinder Attachment ($60 cnp)

Also a pro router switch, multiple lengths of t&g T Track, various stops, fences etc.

All up new, that’s more than $6500. And I guarantee, my unit is as new (some shipping plastic wrap still on some parts!)

I am based in Gippsland. Please message me if you have any questions at simonleecreations@bigpond.com or call on 0478 401 013”

Rock Your World promotion

For the month of June, Stu’s Shed readers are being given a special code to get a 15% discount on a new range of machinery from I Wood Like.

So just what are the new tools that IWL have on offer?

There are two new bandsaw models.

Pro300B Bandsaw

PROO300B-BANDSAW-040HR-2-300x450.jpg

This is a 305mm twin speed bandsaw with a maximum DOC of 200mm.  Priced at $1190 inc GST, it has been reduced to $1011.50 with your Stu’s Shed discount.

If you need something beefier, there is the

Artisan400B Bandsaw

ARTISAN-400B-BANDSAW-102HR-300x450.jpg

With a 390mm throat depth, 270mm resaw height and a 2.2kW motor, this bandsaw will do some pretty significant work.  It can take up to a 30mm blade, so that really opens up the options for getting carbide tipped blades for serious resawing.

It is priced at $1949 inc GST, which comes down to $1656.65 with the Stu’s Shed discount.

There are a couple of combo jointer-thicknessers, and a couple of smaller sanders (linisher and or disc) that I will highlight in the near future.

Raising some revenue

I’ve had the tool section running for a little while now, and it has been good to (slowly) move on some items.  I’m going to keep the section running, as there are always a few odds and ends (spare components primarily) that can find another home.

I am looking to really ramp up the production quality of the videos again, and have new lights, new mics, and am now working on adding an extra camera as well. So I’ve turned (once again) to eBay to move a couple of things to assist.

One is the radial arm saw.  It may go for less than it was offered on here, maybe more (although I’d be surprised).  It is currently at $8, with 5 days to run, so is quite the bargain (if you want a radial arm saw that is!)

The other item currently listed (which has nothing to do with woodworking, but at least the revenue raised will!), is the last of my dive gear, which I used to do a lot of deep diving with.  Currently at $270, with 2 days to run.

Sad to see it go, but I’m not using it, and one past hobby can help fund a current one.

One down, one to go

Sold the Torque Workcentre (Router Master) today, which is a good step (goes towards paying for some of the shed electrical installation!), so just have the tablesaw to go.

And I do need it to go – it is taking up precious space, as much as it is a reluctant sale.  (I really do like the TS10L).  However, it is what it is.

Hopefully as a bit of encouragement, I have taken 10% off the asking price, and set it to a very round $2000. See here for more details.

More Festool Specials

The end-of-financial-year sale is on again for Festool products, over at Ideal Tools.

Once again, it is a matter of resisting (which is futile) the attraction of Festool (and some Protool) gear marked well down!

Vacs, drills, sanders, saws, accessories – worth a look at the specials page to be sure.  There is not as much there as the previous sale, but still, if you are in the market for anything that is there on special, obviously a good time to get it!

Of particular note, some of the Surfix Festool finishing oil is there, marked down from $50 to $15, which isn’t too shabby, and a good time to get it if you use that finishing system (good time for me to stock up as well).

You don’t see that every day

A Torque Workcentre Router Master, and some TWC accessories (couple are prototypes) have now been added to the Tool Sale page.

Tool Sale Tab is now open

Hopefully some bargains in there that are tempting!  See top right of the website if looking for the tab.

I’ve only put up a few items so far.  Plenty more (mostly smaller, some larger) items to be added as soon as I can get to them.
