    • I don’t believe that Plyco is offering 1.5mm MDF. Their page on MDF starts at 3mm. http://www.plyco.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=39_81&products_id=199

The quote from your page seems to indicate 1.5 but it’s probably for the plywood.
“we can offer to produce any commercially available natural or reconstructed veneer… pressed on to plywood, particleboard or MDF in thicknesses from 1.5mm – 33mm (customized thickness can be made too).”

  2. I see it is available from the UK, but I think in Aussie 3mm might be the thinnest you can get.
I did a search and came up with this site, but I think the 1.5mm refers to the plywood.

    Apr 26, 2013 – Particleboard, MDF & Echo Panel … Thicker sizes – subject to enquiry. Thickness, 1.5mm 3mm 4mm 6.5mm 9.5mm 12.5mm 16mm 19mm …

  3. 3mm is the thinnest mdf I’ve seen. If you want 1.5 you may have to use signboard, converd board is available in 1.5mm in 2400×1200 sheets. It cuts nicely with knife type cnc, not sure how you’ll go with rotary cnc cutters. Other card type boards like canson which is used as backing boards for picture framing might work too.
