Rockler in the US have just bought out an interesting concept for pen turners – inlay kits for pen turners.
They are specifically for Sierra pen kits, (and not for novice pen turners).

There’s one there that looks to be a representation of an historic Stars and Stripes – be interesting if there were kits for flags of other countries – perhaps in time!

No I don’t – thought the fishing one would grab your attention though!
Seems as though a Commonwealth Blue Ensign pen design would be appropos for Rockler to come out with. Maybe a letter to nudge them in that direction. Or a Kiwi version?
I’d definitely be interested in the NZ White Ensign too! I’ll mention it to them on Twitter (which i know they read)
These are really cool – Can you post a video on the kits being made? (not turning but the laser cutting process) I’d love to see how much detail is used

Wow! Lots of great interest in the new pen kits! I am passing all these comments on to the category manager. I’ll check to see if there is any video showing the laser cutting process, and I’ll check on shipping costs to Oz, NZ and post back here with what I find. Thanks for the enthusiasm!
